Charlotte Chesnais

Bio

Charlotte Chesnais was born in 1985 in small city near Mans, France.
After studying at Studio Berçot in Paris, she joined Balenciaga alongside Nicolas Ghesquière. During nine years, she works on the ready-to-wear collections and piloted the launch of Balenciaga’s jewelry line.
From 2012, Charlotte Chesnais made collaborations designers including Kenzo, Mayiet, Sacai as well as Paco Rabanne, whom she still collaborates with on their leather goods and jewelry.
In 2015, Charlotte Chesnais launches her own eponymous brand and is rewarded by the prestigious ANDAM Fashion accessories prize. This reward marks her first collection, a mix of graphic and fluid lines, re-designed basics and abstract shapes creating a set of little sculptures.
Charlotte Chesnais doesn’t like the idea that the piece of jewelry can go out of fashion. In her current collections she continues to present her very first creations. Their lines are pure, the pieces are sophisticated and timeless. They become new classics.
The collections are handmade in France by the finest workshops and are available in silver, vermeil and 18 carat gold decorated with diamonds or precious stones.
Charlotte Chesnais’s collections can be found at sixty of the most prestigious boutiques in the world.

What defines your style?

I’m very inspired by Paris, I’m also a mom and I am very active so my jewelry needs to live with me!

What are your most commonly used materials?

I work with two different types of materials. Two of them are vermeil and silver, which allow me to create bold organic lines while still being affordable.

The other two are gold and diamonds, with  which I  love to work  as they add a different dimension to my designs
