Since 1996, Whitelaw & Newton has been a quality supplier to leading Australian and international homewares and gift stores. Lindy Newton is the creative force behind the success of Whitelaw & Newton. Lindy started teaching découpage at an art centre in Sydney in 1993, and while teaching she developed a refined decoupage process to put images onto objects such as trays and placemats. Using her process she began production, which has continued for over 20 years. Lindy has also now developed new processes to put beautiful images onto trays, which are then finished with traditional lacquer skills.
