Gerasimos Avlamis was born in Athens in 1981. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts his professor was Chronis Botsoglou. In 2005, he attended the Erasmus program in Madrid and received a scholarship in the Fresco and Anatomy Lessons for painters; he returned and graduated in 2007 with grade “Excellent”. In 2010 he founded a painting teaching space for children and adults [“Zografizo” Art Workshop] in Neo Iraklio, Attica and in 2012 he created the BHIVE Art Multispace in the center of Athens, in Kypseli. All these years, he has been active in interior design and visual applications as well as in the creation of large-scale street art. His works are exhibited in museums and personal collections. From 2013 he is collaborator with the Municipality of Athens and in 2016 he attended to the opening event for the program “Open School” of the Municipality of Athens in Kypseli with the funding of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Furthermore, since 2017 he has been in charge of the training in the graffiti area and visual arts of the project “The Child, the City and the Monuments” of Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens. His work over the years concerns the element of social aspect in art.
